this is probably going to fall on deaf ears but i'm going to try anyways. it's not good being this hateful towards smaller groups of people who use labels that aren't always understood firsthand. you can [censored] and throw a fit in response to this message if you want, but this isn't coming from a place of hate or sent out of judgement. i just feel like you genuinely don't understand some of the more uncommon labels in the queer community, and being this negative towards something you don't understand is unhealthy for all parties involved.
you are absolutely correct. transgender men an cis men CANNOT be lesbians, as being a lesbian is defined as non-men loving non-men. however, that is not what a lesboy is. a lesboy is not someone who identifies as cis or transgender that claims to be a lesbian.
the term lesboy is very similar to the term butch. when it was coined can be dated back as far as the 60s; it's not something that's new, it's been around for a very long time. lesboys are still non-men loving non-men, such as: genderfluid lesbians, bigender lesbians, transmasculine lesbians, nonbinary lesbians, he/him lesbians, etc. as someone already mentioned on this page, pronouns DO NOT equal gender. many people who identify as women, female, etc., use he/him pronouns for fun, comfort reasons, and other personal reasons, but that does not mean they identify as male or any male-aligning identities.
lesboys don't deny the identities of trans men in the world. being hateful and cruel towards them denies alternatively identifying lesbians their existence. gender identity is not always going to fit inside YOUR norm, and continuing this hateful way of thinking is destroying a community where people turn to for safety, security and support. while i don't agree with you receiving the onslaught of rape, death, and other forms of threats, i also don't agree with being close-minded towards labels you define as wrong or controversial. in times like these, where thousands of queer people are being killed across the globe because of our identities, who we choose to love, etc., it's important that we come closer together and support one another instead of being so hateful and opposed to things we may not understand at first. being educated in times of darkness is important. i implore you to actually sit down and have a conversation with a lesboy, find out their story and what they've gone through, before forming such harmful views of them.
this is not an argument. it's a message that i hope finds you well and gets you to look past the stereotypes and standards queer people are forced to fit in, and discover that people outside the norm will always exist. have a better day.

I would like you to know that I did actually read all of this, also all the threats ect are completely unrelated to the "he/him lesbians", but I appreciate the mention lol, its just petty drama that's not relevant in this convo.
Simply put, & yes I understand where you are coming from, but I am telling you this as a trans man that the term "he/him lesbians" is just hurtful to both the trans & lesbian community, & I will not debate or budge on that & I am sorry if that is seen as me just being stubborn but I will not change on this.
From my experience & every "he/him lesbian" I've met, they express themselves as a man, they identify as a man, are ftm but specifically a *male* lesbian, not just a butch/"lesboy" (I will be transparent in saying I don't like the word lesboy, but I do acknowledge that it is in fact just another word for a butch ect)
I appreciate you tryna have a civil conversation about this, regardless of the fact that we still don't see eye to eye on it, I don't expect this reply to mean anything to you, but I once again just wanted to express that I have read your comment.
